Hi folks,

it seems to me, that the previous page, next page buttons in the job page does not work. Also there are a lot of old jobs which nobody seems to care about any more. Maybe you could delete them or do something with them, because in this way you can't really understand, which job is really running right now.

ciao,

Continuous stalling of vSwarm Client (2 replies)

Dear folks,

today there are some projects running, that cause continuous stalling of the vswarm client. I'm running it on 3 computers in different locations, and all three go in tilt and after a while get into a forced stop of the virtual machine.

Maybe the one who put these files on for rendering should realize that there is something wrong with them (at least so it seems to me, since this case never happened to me before).

I wouldn't say anything if it would happen once or twice, but it's the whole day it happens.

If there is another cause of this problem, I'm not aware of, please let me know what to do.

Thanks a lot,

Hi folks,

I posted already in the general client section, but I think that was the wrong one... My problem is that today I would like to load up a new project, but the ftp connection gives me again the 550 "Can't check for file existence" and 553 "Disk full, please upload later" message. I would really need to keep going with my project, so I would appreciate if you could find the problem (last time it was solved, but I still did not understand what the problem actually was). Unfortunately the file is a little bit too big for the WEB uploader...

Thanks a lot,

Hello all together.

I'm new to vswarm, and I started right away to work and to share my CPU. Now I wanted to upload some new file to render, which is larger than 10 MB, and therefore I used the FTP (I did this also for a first testrender, and it worked perfectly some days ago). Since yesterday I get the continuous "Sleeping and dreaming of a new job" message in the Client, and when I connect to the FTP it tries to upload, but then I get the message "Disk is full, try again later". Is there any problem with the system? Because I tried all tricks on my computer, which could be responsible. :S Thanks!

Hello you there, firstonce sorry for my bad english.

I'm new here, two computer have registered here, and if all goes well will be followed by four more. And I've also been a test (camera movement) render made (100% done). But there are only *. jpg files or images-out files and not avi or similar. On my PC I get the point, only that it is totally slow. I can also project video datein mananger not choose. How do I get from the individual frames now a movie?

Thank you
There were 4 frames that timed out first run that I rerun just prior to downloading, but I didn't make note of the frames. I just resubmitted the 2 and they both run at the correct resolution this time? After thinking about it I should have probably left the 2 frames as is so you could confirm it, sorry!

Hi folks :)

I'm doing some test in order to be able to anticipate the animation time : I render on my computer some pictures and I project it for the whole animation (of course it's not very sharp :p But I've a better idea of the time I'll need with this new way to do).

So I wondering about the basic configuration the VM use, and the signification of the cpu hours/cpu hours (raw) I can see in the jobs details.
Just wondering...I've had the client installed for about 2 hours and have downloaded, completed and uploaded several jobs from the server. However, on the statistics page, the CPU shared still shows 0, timed out is 1 and logins is 1. Is there a time delay before stats are updated?

First, i'm sorry i thought tickets were the only way to discuss,
i've wroten a so bad ticket !!
sorry sorry sorry

I m new to the community, especially because i try to preserve blender and open sources softwares as my production choice.
But it's hard because of rendering times.
vSwarm project is great.

I just succeed in sharing my cpu's and the second external job is running !
But now i m trying to test one of mine on "luxrender RC6 test plateform"
I don't understand what's the meaning of the "1" limit for X and Y resolution, so i enter "1"
and the sample / pixel setting which is described somewhere like in MP unit although the range asked is 100-2500

so i ve entered 1, 1, and 1000 to test, and i obtained 5 lfm files of 1Ko that i merged in a 1Ko merged.flm file.
So no surprise, luxrender don't open an image from it ?
Is it due to the test period or Am I wrong in using it ?

Hi all,
as I am working on the vSwarm Wiki at the moment, I think I am a bit blinded by routine, are there any ideas for the wiki or topics we should add to the wiki pages?!
Thank you all for your input.

P.S. If you have any ideas you might add them to the Wiki by yourself. Or if you find mistakes, please correct them.
